When looking at movie fashions from the year 2000 up through 2010, there is one thing that is plain. There are so many different style of movies that it is very difficult to pin point any particular trends. In fact, most of our fashion trends in this decade are compiled from previous decades. This is not to say that there are no movie fashion trends, but most of them are either very subtle, or they are so bizarre that they are rarely seen.
For example, Bollywood has made a splash in the movie markets in the United States. Though many people love the styles and fashions from these movies, they have not made it into the main stream of the United States. Because of the cultural feel of the movies, many people are uncomfortable wearing clothing from these. On the other hand, some people have taken up the Indian fashion because of Bollywood movies.
Many celebrities are starting to sport more of a casual look, both on screen and off. This could account for the lack of true fashion trends in this decade. When your favorite celebrity is seen in jeans and a t-shirt, there is not much more to go off of. When dressing up, the sleek cocktail dresses that have been popular for many generations are still in style.
Unfortunately, it has been very difficult to pinpoint the fashion trends that are inspired by movies in the years between 2000 and 2010. Some say that it will show itself later, but others feel that currently there is no real style pulling at us from the silver screen. With a little bit from many of the generations before being pulled into our fashions, we may find that this decade does not have a particular style to call its own.
