For many people, looking at the styles of the 1990′s is just looking back recently. For those that grew up in the 90′s, or even were adults during that time, don’t feel like it was that long ago. Realistically, looking at it, this is an era that is, especially in fashion, long gone.
When looking at the fashion trends of the 1990′s, many people turn not only to the movies, but also to the television shoes. This is not only for clothing fashion, but other trends as well. For example, the popularity of Baywatch led many women to start getting Brazilian waxes and even breast implants to look more like the stars of the show.
The grunge look was very popular in the 90′s. This look was inspired in many genres and forms. With everything from popular bands like Nirvana taking up the look, to movies such as Bill and Ted, you could find the laid back grunge look almost anywhere.
Supermodels also played a large part in the fashion of the 1990′s. Many people, both men and women, looked to these models to tell them what to wear. Not only were these supermodels gorgeous and to be envied, many of them had a movie star at their beck and call, as well. Short, boy cut hair styles for women became popular, and longer hair for men also made a come back during the 1990′s.
There are many different ways that the 90′s varied with the fashions. In general, the look was a more laid back, and less flamboyant look than in previous generations. This shows not only in the fashions of these times, but also in the movies of the decade. For many, when looking back at the 1990′s, we don’t see much different in the styles than what we see today.
