The 6th Director's View Film Festival will run from May 6-10, 2005. The Festival will be moving to New York and will be based in SoHo and The Village.

Now in its sixth season – and ready to take on New York City in Soho/Greenwich Village – The Director’s View Film Festival kicks off its first promotional event on Saturday, April 24 at noon. The event will be hosted by the eclectic clothing, shoe and music boutique, The Lounge, 593 Broadway, NYC, which also lays claim to a live DJ and bar/café with an impressive wine list.

The event will kick-off at noon, with a series of silent black and white short films, by Lois Weber and Alice Guy Blanche. The Lounge DJ has crafted a mixture of current tunes to serve as the “soundtrack” for these shorts. Enjoy a classic film, while munching on popcorn and be one of the first to learn more about the latest film festival to enter the Soho scene in 2005. Free gifts to the first guests -- hope to see you there!
